He escaped death not once but many times. He even saw angels as he lay smoldering in the street after being burned over 90% of his body.
A self made millionaire, father and loving husband, and immigrant to the U.S. Tony (true story) lost everything except the devotion from his family and ended up millions in debt after over 40 surgeries. He's in the Guinness book now for most burns survived.
He started a foundation. I worked from varied sources, many aids, including testimonies in recorded audio voice files, and from e-mails and phone calls, etc. etc. ...from the people involved in the story. Doctors, friends, the pastor who found him in the street.

Its still in the works but I'll update here as I can. I am ON HOLD with Dorothy Sage Wolfe on a project with Rising Spiral.
She has written a pun-filled adult fairy tale with a theme of domestic abuse. Sounds keen.
I am her tentative illustrator. After a meeting, she became enamored of me creating the visual aspect of the fairy tale in paint on paper (illustrating the book) over maybe 16 or more panels.

Dorothy said '' God '' chose me for the book (Tony said this too) After Dorothy and I collaborated at a library for 2 hours, (I'd walked there). She paused outside and tentatively asked whether I was hypo-or hyper-sensitive...to which I replied that I was both and my daughter from a young age would instinctively hairbrush my arms, something I rather liked.
Dorothy explained tactile discomfort explaining that the fact she wasn't offering a BYE hug as we parted . We had connected on many levels during the meeting. She indicated she did not have affection, so forth.
She did not have to fear that I would be slighted by no offer of a hug, I was relieved and told her how hugs leave indentations. I told her -''we'll pretend.''
..she said ''that's what I like about our people.''
we went our ways -.

after I mailed Tony's contract downtown, and headed uphill towards home I was thinking of the title of Dorothy's currently published book about '' living large and trying to be 10 feet tall ''-
I thought of giant sequoias- the trees that get 343 feet tall .
Strong YES. but, what's the secret of their strength?I'll tell you -its hidden, just like its ok to not hug. the strength there in our parting was invisible.
The strength in Sequoias is the root systems you don't see. The invisibility in the 343 feet tall trees' ecosystems; the invisible parts intertwined elaborately like groups of formerly mute aspergers' finding each other...those trees hold hands undergrouund.

Some peers and my self were filmed for an ARTS film called ARTS, due out October, its by the lady Keri Bower who did "Normal people scare me." (with son Tyler)
Keri was interesting, having been Motley crue's assistant many yrs. I am a concert-goer, and have seen hundreds, that being one of them. (I hesitate to admit.) maybe Keri was backstage at the time, and now we cross paths for something larger and better lo these yrs.
Kudos to Keri for every thing she does and luck to her. She is good people.
